D10-5 Tactical Buyer｜Zhubei

This position reports to the Procurement head of Asia in Taiwan.

Fulfillment function within our Hsin-Chu based operations. This would include procurement activates covering both local (Taiwan/Asian) supply base, as well as global suppliers delivering for Taiwan operations, e.g. for parts, modules, sub-assemblies (incl. OEM parts), etc.

Primary task of this position is to ensure effective and efficient execution of the operational and tactical procurement activities. You will independently manage the operational procurement process for multiple suppliers globally. Your focus is on tactical support and execution and timely availability of required materials.

The job requires attention on details to ensure the correct data entry into SAP. Subsequently export necessary data for reporting and KPI measurement for management use. External supplier management on timely order and delivery confirmation is also part of the responsibility.

Good communication with his SUSS counterparts and suppliers are essential for reaching the objectives of this job successfully.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems, which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
• Builds, maintain and extend a sustainable relationship within Production planning, Logistics, Suppliers, and end-users
• Provide reports on performance of key process
• Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards continuous improvement on end-to-end order fulfillment process.

Tasks:

• Perform periodic spend analysis within managed commodity scope to identify opportunities and tactical initiative

o Delivery optimum conditions of ordering to serve as basis of quantity discounts and price breaks, and subsequently consolidate purchases to obtain best possible price.

• Execution of order fulfillment for Suss Taiwan and other global locations :

o Issues purchase orders supporting office and manufacturing department, confirms supplier receipt and acceptance.
o Convert all purchase request to purchase orders for sourcing manager to approve.
o Examines and analyzes departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information. If necessary, contact department or initiator to clarify or complete information
o Follows up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
o Communicate between production planning and supplier on optimum delivery date if original request date cannot be met.
o Manage Pull-in/Push-out and order cancelation

• Ensuring all supplier information and quotation terms are correctly entered in SAP

o Detailed review of supplier terms and conditions on all quotations
o Master data and info record creation, maintenance, and migration
o Support any issue resolution identified between PR to PO
