D365 Finance and Operations – Integration Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Integration Developer to join the Technology Consulting practice within a premier global professional services firm. In this role, you will design, develop, and support robust enterprise integrations between D365 F&O and external systems using Azure Integration Services. You will collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and international client teams to build scalable synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise integrations between D365 F&O and third-party applications.
• Build integration architectures using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, and API Management.
• Implement D365 F&O integration components using Data Entities, OData, REST APIs, DMF, Business Events, and Custom Services.
• Apply synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven integration patterns for scalable data exchange.
• Implement data transformation, exception handling, retry mechanisms, logging, and security protocols across integrations.
• Translate functional specifications into detailed technical integration designs alongside architects and client leads.
• Support unit testing, SIT, UAT, deployment, and operational troubleshooting across project environments.

Candidate Profile

• Level of Experience: 4 to 6 years of hands-on integration and development experience with D365 F&O or Dynamics AX.
• Azure Integration Stack: Strong proficiency in Azure Integration Services, specifically Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, and API Management.
• D365 Frameworks: In-depth technical knowledge of D365 F&O integration tools (Data Entities, OData, DMF, Business Events, REST APIs).
• Protocols & Data Standards: Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON / XML, data parsing, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Security & Governance: Experience implementing security controls using OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, service principals, and Azure Key Vault.
• DevOps & Operations: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI / CD pipelines, version control, and error monitoring / logging frameworks.
• Soft Skills & Mobility: Strong problem-solving skills, effective client-facing communication in English, and willingness to travel occasionally as required by project needs.

Nice to Have

• X++ development skills and experience with the D365 F&O extension framework.
• C# / .NET development background, particularly for Azure Functions and custom components.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Event Grid, Application Insights, or Azure Monitor.
• Experience integrating D365 F&O with CRM, banking, WMS, e-commerce, or tax platforms.
• Exposure to EDI / B2B messaging and high-volume data integration scenarios.
• Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Microsoft Azure certifications.
• German or French language skills.
