Job Summary
Lead and implement youth and family development programmes rooted in Islamic principles to nurture a resilient mosque community. Provide religious counselling, lead prayers, and engage the community through outreach and events.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute youth development programmes based on Islamic values to foster spiritual growth and community engagement
- Develop and implement family development initiatives that enhance marital, parenting, and intergenerational relationships
- Lead communal and festive prayers as assigned to support congregational worship
- Provide religious counselling and guidance to congregants to address spiritual and personal concerns
- Conduct Islamic services such as tahniq and tahlil to meet community religious needs
- Engage youths, families, and the wider community through outreach activities, events, and strategic partnerships to strengthen mosque ties
- Collaborate with the Community Development team to align programmes with mosque objectives
- Adapt work schedule to include flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet community needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Islamic Studies or a related field
- Possess ARS Tier 1 certification
- Singapore citizen or PR
- 2–4 years of experience delivering youth development, family services, or community programmes
- Sound knowledge of Islamic principles related to youth, family, and pastoral care
