Data & Advanced Process Analytics Engineer – AstraZeneca – Warsaw, Poland

The Process & Analytics Services team within Global Business Services (GBS) delivers data and digital services to AstraZeneca, focusing on lower costs and improved service. The Process Mining team is an advanced analytics capability that unlocks processing capacity and value through automated process discovery, analytics, and automated decision‑support workflows. We drive data‑led process performance improvements by transforming digital process data into process models using sophisticated process mining techniques. Custom analyses & workflows are built from these models to generate the business insights needed to drive process performance improvements.
Hybrid model of work: 3 days in office, 2 remote per week.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders to help answer key business questions about the process
- Develop custom process models using process mining techniques
- Build business intelligence dashboard reporting and more sophisticated programmatic solutions to deliver process insights to stakeholders
- Build automated workflows to facilitate proactive process interventions
- Leverage most recent AI and ML models to maximise the value process mining delivers for AstraZeneca
Qualifications
- Essential requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a comparable degree
- 1‑3 years experience working with data & analytics
- Experience working with relational databases using advanced SQL queries
- Knowledge of ETL
- Ability to produce visualisations to communicate data effectively with experience in a data visualisation tool
- Analytical skills to discover, analyse and draw insight from complex data sets
- Good communication skills to work with non‑technical stakeholders
- Energetic, organised and self‑motivated
- Nice to have:
- Good programming skills with experience in Python
- Previous experience with process mining platforms
- Domain knowledge in the areas of Finance, Supply Chain or Pharma R&D
