Data & AI Engineer

Data Platform & Solution Development

• Design and implement end-to-end modern data architectures using Microsoft Fabric, including:
  • OneLake
  • Lakehouse
  • Data Warehouse
  • Data Engineering and Real-Time Analytics
• Design, build, and maintain relational and analytical databases to support reporting, analytics, and AI workloads.
• Develop and optimize data warehouse schemas (star/snowflake models).
• Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines using:
  • Azure Data Factory / Fabric Data Pipelines
  • ELT/ETL patterns for structured and semi-structured data
• Optimize database performance, storage, and query efficiency.
• Independently manage and deliver assigned solution components with minimal supervision.

Power BI & Analytics

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports for operational, management, and executive audiences.
• Build semantic models, implement DAX measures, and apply performance tuning best practices.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and analytics requirements.
• Translate business requirements into insight-driven dashboards aligned with customer KPIs and outcomes.

Database & Data Management

• Work with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent).
• Experience with analytical databases / data warehouses integrated with Microsoft Fabric.
• Apply best practices for database design, indexing, data quality, and lifecycle management.
• Support data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities.

Data Governance & Security

• Apply data governance best practices, including:
  • Data classification and sensitivity labeling
  • Data lineage and impact analysis
  • Role-based access control and security policies
• Design solutions aligned with organizational governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

AI & Advanced Analytics

• Design and deliver AI and machine learning solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI services.
• Support use cases such as:
  • Predictive analytics
  • AI-assisted insights
  • Generative AI and Copilot-style analytics experiences
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and suggest innovative data or AI-driven solutions.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

• Actively support pre-sales activities, including:
  • Customer discovery and solution workshops
  • Architecture whiteboarding (data, database, analytics, and AI layers)
  • Technical demos, PoCs, and pilot implementations
  • RFP and proposal technical responses
• Clearly communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work independently with customers and internal stakeholders to progress opportunities.

Delivery & Support

• Provide technical leadership during implementation and post-go-live phases.
• Deliver solutions independently or as part of a distributed regional team.
• Support multiple customers and engagements across the APAC region.

Required Skills & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience in data management, including databases, data integration, data modeling, data transformation, and analytics platforms.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
• Experience delivering data, database, or analytics solutions in enterprise environments.

Technical Skills

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong expertise in Power BI dashboarding, semantic modeling, DAX, and performance optimization.
• Strong SQL skills and hands‑on experience working with databases and data warehouses.
• Proven experience in data transformation and orchestration using Azure Data Factory / Fabric Data Pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and database concepts (star/snowflake schemas, indexing, query optimization).
• Experience with modern data engineering and ELT/ETL practices.
• Working knowledge of AI / machine learning solutions using Microsoft or Azure-based services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data and analytics services.
• Proficient in Python for data engineering and analytics use cases.
• Strong experience with PySpark and Spark-based data processing.
