Data Analyst

Position: Data Analyst

Location: Irving, TX

Duration: 6+ Months

Only Local Candidates as F2F interview is required

Need candidates on W2 only

Job Description:

Working closely with business owners to gather requirements and understand business needs
Evaluate existing data storage schema and take required steps to meet project goals
Identify data sources and ETL processes needed to process required data points
Determine best approach to calculating KPIs using groomed data
Provide input and assistance to visualization resources to streamline dashboard process
Ability to clearly illustrate, explain and orient varied stakeholders & audiences , insuring a clear and concise understanding of analysis/output
Required Skills and Experience:
Data Analysis, including applying statistical/mathematical models
Usage of ELK stack (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana)
Usage of JSON and understanding of underlying JAVA code
Understanding of Big Data tools, including Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, Storm, and Sqoop
Usage of visualization tools, including Tableau or SAS
Usage of SQL and associated languages
Understanding of Star data schemas

Experience:
Minimum 3 -5 year experience with ETL, DBA, or Data modeling
Minimum 1 year experience with ELK stack, JSON, and Big Data tools
