OUR
OPPORTUNITY
We are looking
for a Data Analyst to work closely with the Data Architect, Technical
Data Lead, Business Analysts, ETL Developers, BI Developers, Platform
Administrators, and business stakeholders.
The Data
Analyst will play a key role in understanding business requirements, analyzing
existing data structures and processes, validating data, defining analytical
requirements, and supporting the transition toward the company’s target data
architecture.
The role
requires a strong combination of business analysis, data analysis, SQL, data
quality, reporting, and data visualization skills, with the ability to
translate business questions into reliable, actionable data insights.
YOU
WILL
» Analyze business
requirements and translate them into clear data and analytical requirements.
» Work with stakeholders
to understand business processes, KPIs, reporting requirements, and data needs.
» Analyze existing data
sources, ODS, DWH, staging, data marts, and reporting environments.
» Profile and assess
data to identify quality issues, duplication, inconsistencies, missing values,
and data anomalies.
» Investigate existing
reports, dashboards, calculations, and business logic to ensure they are
correctly understood before migration or redesign.
» Define and document
data requirements, source-to-target mappings, business rules, and
transformation logic.
» Develop complex SQL
queries for data extraction, reconciliation, validation, and analysis.
» Support the Data
Architect in assessing current-state data architecture and defining
requirements for the target-state platform.
» Work with ETL/ELT
teams to validate data pipelines and transformation logic.
» Perform
source-to-target reconciliation and data validation during migration
activities.
» Support data migration
and coexistence activities between legacy and target platforms.
» Analyze data from
Oracle, DWH, ODS, MDM, BI, and other enterprise data platforms.
» Work with data
integration patterns including batch, CDC, APIs, and file-based ingestion from
an analytical and business perspective.
» Develop and maintain
analytical datasets, data marts, and semantic-layer requirements.
» Work with BI
developers to define and validate dashboards, reports, KPIs, and semantic
models.
» Support Power BI and
other BI solutions by validating metrics, dimensions, measures, and business
calculations.
» Define and document
data quality rules and support data quality monitoring.
» Assist with metadata,
data lineage, data ownership, and business glossary activities.
» Identify opportunities
to simplify reporting, eliminate redundant data processes, and improve data
usage.
» Support regulatory,
management, operational, and enterprise reporting requirements.
» Ensure analytical
requirements are aligned with data governance, security, and regulatory
requirements.
» Support the
preparation of data for advanced analytics, machine learning, and future AI/LLM
use cases.
» Communicate analytical
findings and data issues clearly to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
» Contribute to data
standards, documentation, and best practices across the organization.
Requirements
» TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED
» Strong experience as a Data Analyst,
BI Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar data-focused role.
» Strong SQL skills and experience
working with relational databases, preferably Oracle or similar enterprise
database platforms.
» Good understanding of ODS, DWH, data
marts, lakehouse, semantic layers, ETL/ELT, and BI architectures.
» Experience with data profiling,
reconciliation, validation, and data quality analysis.
» Experience gathering and documenting
business and data requirements.
» Strong understanding of data
modeling concepts, including facts, dimensions, relationships, and analytical
data structures.
» Experience with Power BI or similar
visualization and BI platforms.
» Understanding of enterprise data
platforms and technologies such as Informatica, GoldenGate, MDM, DQ, EDC/Axon,
or equivalent technologies is an advantage.
» Experience working with cloud and
modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure,
AWS, or GCP is an advantage.
» Understanding of CDC, data
integration, metadata, lineage, data governance, and data security.
» Ability to investigate complex data
problems and identify the root cause of inconsistencies.
» Strong attention to detail and a
structured approach to data analysis.
» Ability to communicate effectively
with business users, developers, architects, and senior stakeholders.
» Experience working in financial
services, banking, insurance, or other regulated industries is a strong
advantage.
