Data Analyst

The objective of this role is to support end-to-end data migration from local China-based platforms (both SaaS and on-premise systems) into Microsoft Dynamics 365. The role will focus on understanding data lineage, designing extraction and transformation strategies, and ensuring high-quality, compliant data migration aligned with enterprise standards.

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and support data migration activities from local China platforms (SaaS and on-prem) into D365
  • Analyze legacy systems to understand data structures, dependencies, and lineage
  • Design and implement data extraction and transformation approaches for structured migration
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
  • Collaborate with functional, data, and integration teams to ensure accurate data mapping aligned with business processes
  • Work with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and other enterprise data sources
  • Support data migration testing cycles (functional and system testing) prior to UAT
  • Document data lineage, transformation logic, and migration rules
  • Identify data quality issues and implement mitigation and improvement strategies
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and security standards
  • Provide insights and recommendations on data improvements and optimization

Professional Knowledge/Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and data migration roles
  • Strong experience in migrating data from heterogeneous systems (SaaS and on-prem)
  • Solid understanding of data lineage, data flow mapping, and transformation methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and similar platforms
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data extraction frameworks
  • Understanding of D365 data structures and migration concepts (preferred)
  • Strong SQL and data querying skills
  • Knowledge of data quality, validation frameworks, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multi-region teams
  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English preferred
