Data Analyst
Summary
Analyzes federal agency data to spot trends, validate financial models, and build Tableau/Power BI dashboards for decision-makers.
This is a remote position.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing recommendations for business improvements.
- Validate financial models, charts, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to communicate findings effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support initiatives in data governance and quality management.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation activities to ensure high-quality input for analytics and reporting.
- Conduct regular quality control checks on financial monitoring products and reports to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Prepare clear and concise documentation of analysis methodologies and findings, as well as presentations for stakeholders.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in data analysis, tools, and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities continuously.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis in a public sector of federal government setting.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages, particularly SQL and Python.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI, to create compelling visual reports.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
