Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

About Us

We’re on a mission to unlock the high-performance potential of retail. Our aim is to be the preferred analytics platform for the world’s leading retailers. Over the past decade, Kepler Analytics has expanded from its Australian roots to serve 300 customers, with over 20,000 sensor installations across 35+ countries.

We’re a rapidly growing team of retail experts, hardware engineers, software developers, data scientists, and operations specialists across Australia, Europe, and the US, working closely to make our retail customers succeed with data.

About the Role

Kepler is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Analyst to support the quality, accuracy and operational integrity of retail analytics data across global client deployments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying issues, improving processes and collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to deliver reliable analytics outcomes.

As Data Analyst, you will play a key role in calibration review activities, supporting data quality initiatives, coordinating operational workflows and contributing to continuous improvement across calibration and network review processes.

The Opportunity

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Assist with calibration review activities to ensure retail traffic data is accurate, consistent and reliable across client deployments.

  • Review calibration outputs, identify anomalies and coordinate corrective actions where required.

  • Investigate data inconsistencies and operational issues across stores, devices and deployment environments.

  • Coordinate day-to-day calibration and operational review workflows, including workload prioritisation and scheduling.

  • Conduct network readiness, deployment checks and post-installation verification activities.

  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures and best-practice guides.

  • Support process improvement initiatives, including automation, AI-assisted reviews and workflow optimisation.

  • Assist with onboarding, training and knowledge transfer for operational team members and offshore resources.

  • Monitor operational KPIs and prepare reports on calibration quality, review throughput, turnaround times and deployment readiness.

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Data Teams, Client Services and Technology teams to resolve issues and support project delivery.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive Data Analyst who can improve data quality, uncover insights and support better operational decisions.

You'll bring:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in operational analytics, retail analytics, data operations or a similar environment.

  • A tertiary qualification in analytics, information systems, business or a related discipline is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify anomalies, inconsistencies and data quality issues.

  • Experience using Excel, SQL, Power BI or related analytical tools.

  • Experience in conducting quality checks of proposed foot traffic sensor calibrations to ensure the setting are optimised for accuracy.

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Experience in analysing and interpreting the radio frequency density patterns emitted from mobile devices as they move within physical environments.

  • Ability to navigate multiple workflows and competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience in configuring, evaluating, and optimising the calibrating setting (outside store traffic, inside store traffic, customer bounce rates, customer dwell times) of retail foot traffic counting devices that use radio frequency technology.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience documenting processes and supporting operational training.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Experience in retail analytics, IoT analytics or sensor/camera-based analytics is favourable.
