Salary: RM 3,600 – RM 5,000 per month

About the role

Our eight estates across three regions file a steady flow of operational reports. These include daily crop evacuation and backlog returns, missing-task and low-yield analyses, and staff supervision logs. They also include road maintenance and vehicle service records, workforce productivity reports and the monthly progress report to HQ. Every report is meant to follow the standards in our Estate Management (EM) Reports Manual.

We now run an AI-assisted review that reads every filed spreadsheet and scanned form. For each estate and region, it produces a detailed gap analysis report showing what was filed, what's missing and where the data doesn't hold up.

The AI does the reading. We need a person to do the judging. You'll be the human reviewer on these reports. You'll decide which findings are real and which matter most and agree with each estate what to do about them. Then you'll make sure it gets done.

Key responsibilities

  • Check findings against the evidence. Take each priority finding back to the source it cites: the workbook cell, the scanned page or the system print. Confirm it, correct it or reject it, and record your reasons.

  • Add the context a file can't show. Before anything is escalated, check it against what the estate knows. That includes public holidays and rest days, weather, vehicle breakdowns, paper records not yet scanned and template changes during the year.

  • Prioritise and route. Separate group-wide issues that need an HQ fix (such as a template, a metric definition or a sign-off rule), from issues that belong to the estate's management team.

  • Follow through with the estates. Work with Estate Managers, Assistant Managers, Field Conductors, Accounts Executives and clerks to agree on corrective actions and deadlines. Track each action until it's closed and chase overdue or missing filings.

  • Report upward. Write a short regular summary for Head of Data Department. Cover what has improved, what is still open, and where a report's threshold should have triggered action but didn't.

  • Improve the standard and the tool. Flag Manual rules that are unclear or unworkable. Log the AI's errors, both false alarms and misses, so each review cycle is more accurate than the last.

About you

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness / Plantation Management or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Strong Excel skills: you can tell a formula from a hard-typed number, trace figures across linked workbooks and reconcile one report against another

  • Fluent written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English, since many source records are handwritten in Bahasa Malaysia

  • Clear, diplomatic communication, so you can deliver hard findings to senior estate staff constructively

  • Willingness to travel to estates in Sabah and Sarawak

  • Oil palm estate experience: harvesting rounds and intervals, FFB and loose-fruit evacuation, crop backlog, bunches per palm, yield per hectare and workforce ratios

  • Familiarity with plantation In-Field or ERP systems

  • Comfort with AI tools or basic programming
