... 1 Data Analyst (m/f/d) - Data Team (Mid Level) We are looking for a Data Analyst with 3-5 years of experience to join our data team in Vienna. You will own the analytics layer in our client and venture projects, across three kinds of work: product analytics for the digital products we build, commercial analytics for new services and business models, and investment and portfolio analytics for our (Corporate) Venture Capital and Investment clients. You will work alongside our data engineers and get hands-on with the pipelines and models behind your dashboards.
Your Responsibilities
* Set up product analytics: tracking concepts, funnels, retention and cohort analyses.
* Build commercial analytics for new services, including unit economics, pricing, contribution margin, adoption and revenue.
* Develop data models and reporting for portfolio monitoring, performance tracking and investment decisions.
* Write and optimise SQL for data models, transformations and analyses.
* Support data pipelines and transformation layers: build models, test, resolve quality issues and extend flows.
* Build and maintain useful Power BI dashboards for product, portfolio and commercial KPIs.
* Define business metrics with stakeholders and align analytics with strategic goals.
* Improve data quality, documentation and governance.
* Own your workstream, priorities, timelines and dependencies; coordinate with engineers, PMs and clients.
* Turn requirements into documented solutions and share learnings across Trinsik.
Your Requirements/Qualifications
* 3-5 years' experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, Analytics Engineer or similar.
* Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions and query performance.
* Strong Power BI skills in data modelling, DAX, Power Query and reporting, or comparable BI tools.
* Sound knowledge of dimensional modelling, relational databases and ETL/ELT.
* Hands-on product analytics and event tracking experience with GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog or similar.
* Understanding of activation, retention, cohorts, funnels, unit economics, CAC/LTV, contribution margin and pricing.
* Self-organised and able to structure unclear requirements and drive delivery independently.
* Confident presenting results to clients.
* Analytical, solution-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
* IT-related education or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent English; German is a plus.
Nice to have
* Investment or financial data experience, including portfolio analytics or fund reporting.
* Experience with Azure, Fabric, dbt, Snowflake or a similar modern data stack.
* Python for data work.
