Data Analyst
Summary
Data Analyst maintains and improves enrolment processing systems, builds tools for data validation, and transforms unstructured data into reports for clients and teams using Excel, VBA, and SQL.
We are looking for an individual with a technical background that can help maintain our current enrolment processing system. As our business continually evolves, we are looking for an individual that can provide support for the enrolment Team.
The ideal candidate will be involved in the development of enrolment processing tools that will streamline data validation and error correction. This individual will also be looking for someone that can complete incoming client and plan coordinator requests at the insurer level to ensure that the appropriate information is applied. The role also requires the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the organizations data security practices and requirements.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide support in the exchange of data from unstructured sources and transform this data to be stored on the company system. The stored data will be used to generate reports and lists that are shared with clients, the finance team, the insurer, and our leadership team.
Duties
Help maintain our current enrolment processing system. As our business continually evolves, Data Analyst will provide support for the enrolment Team.
Involved in the development of enrolment processing tools that will streamline data validation and error correction.
Will also be looking for someone that can complete incoming client and plan coordinator requests at the insurer level to ensure that the appropriate information is applied.
Implementation and ongoing monitoring of the organizations data security practices and requirements.
Provide support in the exchange of data from unstructured sources and transform this data to be stored on the company system. The stored data will be used to generate reports and lists that are shared with clients, the finance team, the insurer, and our leadership team.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related with emphasis on programming or 2-year Diploma in programming or software development related
Excellent analytic skills
Proficiency in Excel and Excel functions
Good knowledge of coding with VBA and macros
High understanding level of Macros and coding of macros in MS office
Strong communication skills with team members and clients where required
Team player who is also able to also work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to follow through on deadlines working closely with lead Analyst
Strong attention to detail
Motivated self-learner who wants to learn the business and contribute to enhancing enrolment processes
Preferred Skills
Experienced with other programming languages such as SQL, Python
Familiarity with text code editors
Experience with source control
Experience developing applications

Salary Range
The base salary for this position is between $60,000 - 65,000 annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
