About the role

This role is responsible for contributing to the evolving data and analytics requirements of the organisation by providing requirements analysis, assessing data sources, data mining and developing/maintaining business intelligence products (reports/dashboards) to support operational performance and patient care. The role will support furthering the organisation's data collection and analysis practices through instituting new policies, procedures, and programs from the ground up.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in statistical analysis of health-related data that supports decision making by the organisation and to identify opportunities for improved data capture and data quality in current systems. (SFIA Skill: BINT: Level 4)
  • Experience providing support and training to end users to implement and efficiently use BI solutions such as reports and dashboards. (SFIA Skill: ETDL: Level 4)
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of data by displaying concepts, ideas, and facts using graphical representations through techniques, such as prescribed and predictive analytics and enterprise decision support products. (SFIA Skill: VISL: Level 5)
  • Experience or ability to work through technical problems and solutions logically and systematically to develop innovative and efficient solutions. (SFIA Skill: BUSA: Level 4)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and experience, including effective inter-personal skills with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships. (SFIA Skill: RLMT: Level 5)

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Whilst not mandatory, relevant tertiary qualifications, skills or experience in advanced data interpretation, analysis and presentation would be well regarded.
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
