Summary
Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst at Thai glass container manufacturer BG Container Glass, acting as a liaison between business and IT for data-driven decision-making. Day-to-day work centers on Power BI dashboards, data/semantic models on SAP BW/BW4HANA, data governance and quality, and applying AI to analytics.
Job Scope:
Drive the use of data to support business decision-making (Data-Driven Decision Making)
Responsible for tasks related to Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence.
Act as a liaison between the business and IT in the design of data & analytics solutions.
Develop and maintain dashboards using Power BI and SAP BW / BW4HANA.
Support Data Governance and Data Quality management.
AI can be applied to data analytics processes to analyze and drive business growth.
Serve as a data consultant for various departments within the organization.
Key responsibilities:
Gather and analyze business requirements, including studying and analyzing As-Is and To-Be processes.
Design analytics solutions and reporting frameworks.
Evaluate business impact, cost-effectiveness, and process improvement strategies.
Design and develop dashboards using Power BI, while improving reporting and data visualization standards.
Develop Data Models, Semantic Models, and Data Marts.
Support the Data Governance Framework, including the creation of Data Dictionaries and Business Glossaries.
Monitor and enhance Data Quality.
Prepare Requirement documents, Functional Specifications, and User Guides.
Utilize AI tools to support data analysis and develop AI use cases for analytics and reporting.
Comply with the organization's AI Governance Policy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of proven experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Reporting.
Strong proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, and dashboard design) and SQL. Solid understanding of Data Modeling, Semantic Models, Data Marts, Data Warehouses, and Analytics Platforms.
Proven experience working directly with executives and business stakeholders. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions (As-Is / To-Be analysis).
Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks, Data Quality management, and familiarity with AI tools and AI Governance policies.
Experience in Digital Transformation, Data Governance, AI Analytics, SAP BW, or working within FMCG, Manufacturing, or Enterprise Environments will be specially considered.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
