Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Navi Mumbai

Shift: Covering AU, UK, US (Rotational Shifts)

Work Mode: Remote

Reports To: Manager

Role Overview:

The Data Analyst works with other Data Analysts, Data Developers, Product Managers, and Client Support Specialists to ensure C&E collects and distributes accurate, reliable, and timely data to our clients. You will monitor and support automated collection and extraction processes within the C&E data warehouse and respond to any problems or client questions that arise. As of this posting, the role will be partially remote and partially in person in our Mumbai office.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor automated data collection processes using proprietary data management tools, Unix scripting, and SQL query language
• Resolve collection problems by analyzing logs, determining root cause, and implementing corrective actions
• Perform data quality analysis and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of delivered data
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies identified through QA checks or client inquiries
• Correspond by email with our data vendor partners to resolve file problems or content questions
• Escalate data file processing issues to the Data Development Team, working closely with them to confirm and QA any required collection process code changes
• Research and answer escalated data content questions from Client Support Specialists
• Review and update data feed QA checks to improve data quality
• Audit, update, and create data feed documentation
• Track and manage data issues and requests through internal ticketing systems
• Understand how clients use ZEMA C&E Data

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 1 year of experience in data analysis are encouraged to apply
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams and external data vendors
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities and deadlines

Work Schedule & Location Requirements:

This role is currently remote; however, employees are expected to come at our Navi Mumbai office at least once per quarter. Travel and related expenses for these quarterly office visits are the responsibility of the employee.

Additional office attendance may be required when business needs arise, including visits from overseas colleagues, leadership teams etc

Employees should be prepared to work from the office for multiple days as needed. We support a 24x7 operation. Candidates must be willing to work in rotational shifts and support changing business requirements

Weekly offs will be on any two days of the week and are not guaranteed to fall on Saturdays and Sundays.

Current shift coverage includes:

• AU Shift: 05:30 – 14:30 IST
• UK Shift: 14:00/15:00 – 23:00/00:00 IST
• US Shift: 20:30 – 05:30 IST

Shift timings may vary based on business requirements, and employees should be flexible to accommodate changes of approximately 1–2 hours when necessary

Preferences:

• Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL)
• Knowledge of SQL query language and Unix/Linux environments
• Familiarity with ETL or data ingestion processes
• Familiarity with Java, python, PBI, JIRA will be a plus
