Data Analytics Developer-6+Yrs-PAN India

Purpose:

The Data Analytics Developer position is a technical position dedicated to the sourcing and development of data from multiple data repositories and/or manual sources to support the companys regulatory reporting as well as internal and external business partners.

Role & Responsibilities Overview:

• Develop, translate, and package data pursuant to the business requirements created and identified for each request from a regulatory agency, statistical agent, or internal/external business partner
• Development will include the use of various data repositories and/or manual data tools to source data efficiently and accurately. Processes will be created or updated as needed to capture the appropriate detail on how the data was sourced, tested and validated
• When necessary, create/expand various data-marts and automate processes that lead to production efficiencies and allow for self-service abilities within the clients Regulatory Reporting & Licensing as well as the Legal & Compliance Department (Client side)
• Follow established operational procedures to include the completion of peer reviews when required to assure the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the data, the production and performance of the developer, assuring that all identified risks and controls are supported
• Identify process improvement opportunities and operationalize solutions for the same assuring all key process documentation exists and is regularly updated
• Develop and provide training as needed to support the key functions of the position within client’s Regulatory Reporting & Licensing that expand both the technical knowledge and support the upskilling of associates in similar or dependent positions
• Provide subject matter expertise to the various internal business units as needed to support any required due diligence and strategic decision making
• Lead and participate in data related projects for the team and attend various mandated meetings

Required Technical Skills:

• Databricks (Databricks Analyst Certification preferred)
• Power BI (Microsoft PL-300 Certification preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL, MySQL and/or Spark SQL
• Experience with Microsoft DevOps for code management and project tracking
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• Strong problem solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills
• Create queries, macros, and be fluent in various data extraction tools to include Visual Basic/SQL, Cognos, Guidewire/AMSuite, Microsoft Dev Ops, Power Query/Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite of tools
• Organization and prioritization skills a must to effectively manage varying deadlines
• Databricks: “Databricks Analyst Certification”
• Power BI: “Microsoft PL-300 Certification”
• SQL: Strongly proficient in Oracle SQL, My SQL, and/or Spark SQL
• MS DevOps: Platform in which all existing code is stored and ticket created

Key Ask:

• EST hours (Between 8 AM to 5 PM US ET Hours/ 5.30 PM to 2.30 AM IST) due to the daily communication that will be needed to support the report builds

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• 6- 8 years’ Core Analytics experience with prior Experience preferably with Insurance Clients (P&C)
• Experience in working in dual shore engagement and must have experience in managing clients directly
• Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
