Data Analytics Engineer Executive

Join QL's Group IT team and play a pivotal role in building the data foundations that power enterprise-wide analytics and business insights. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working behind the scenes to design, develop, and optimize data platforms, pipelines, and analytics-ready datasets.
As a Data Analytics Engineer Executive, you will primarily focus on data engineering, data integration, and pipeline development within Microsoft Fabric.
You are driven to:
Design, develop, and maintain reusable data assets, including datasets, data pipelines, notebooks, and curated data models within Microsoft Fabric.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to enable reliable, scalable, and efficient data integration across multiple business systems.
Manage data migration and data integration projects to support business and analytics requirements.
Develop and maintain data warehouse and Lakehouse solutions that deliver trusted, analytics-ready data.
Perform query optimization, performance tuning, and advanced SQL development to improve system efficiency.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable data solutions.
Support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives by ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
Implement and maintain data governance, security controls, and role-based access frameworks.
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, analytics, and cloud data platforms.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent.
Open to fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years’ experience in BI, data analysis, or analytics, preferably from fast-paced industries (food, retail, manufacturing).
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes. Exposure to machine learning or data science concepts will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytics tools or programming languages such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Python, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of data pipeline development, data transformation, and data integration techniques. Familiarity with data governance, role-based access control (RBAC), and data security practices.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Candidate must be willing to be based at HQ, Shah Alam.
