The Role
As a Data & Analytics Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for building and maintaining data platforms, pipelines, and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of data and analytics engineers
- Defining and driving the data engineering roadmap in partnership with business and technology stakeholders
- Overseeing the design, development, and optimisation of scalable data pipelines and data products
- Ensuring high standards for data quality, governance, security, and platform reliability
- Supporting the implementation of cloud-based data architectures and modern engineering practices
- Collaborating with analytics, data science, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions
- Establishing engineering best practices, including automation, testing, and monitoring
- Managing delivery priorities and ensuring successful execution of key data initiatives
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience leading data engineering or analytics engineering teams
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop technical professionals
- Expertise in modern data engineering principles and cloud-based data platforms
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL and data modelling methodologies
- Experience building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Knowledge of data warehousing, analytics platforms, and data governance frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic planning with operational delivery
- Experience working within agile or product-led environments
