About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Data Analytics & Reporting Lead to oversee the Company's reporting and analytics function while leading a team of data professionals.
This role is responsible for driving business intelligence initiatives, developing meaningful reporting frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across various departments and play a key role in fostering a data-driven culture within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop the Data Analytics team.
Manage team priorities, workloads, and project delivery timelines.
Establish reporting standards, processes, and best practices.
Support team growth through coaching, performance management, and knowledge sharing.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Design, develop, and maintain operational, management, and executive-level reports.
Build and enhance dashboards to monitor business performance and key metrics.
Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
Deliver recurring and ad-hoc reporting to support business needs.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
Data Governance & Process Improvement
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting systems.
Develop and maintain reporting documentation and data definitions.
Implement data validation and quality control processes.
Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for reporting and analytics requests.
Translate complex data into clear, business-friendly insights.
Support management with strategic decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or related functions.
At least 1-2 years of experience leading, mentoring, or supervising a team.
Strong proficiency in SQL and data querying.
Experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar platforms.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and complex data analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within fintech, financial services, payments, banking, capital markets, or other related industries will be an added advantage.
Experience building executive dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Experience with Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
