Job Description:

Quevera is seeking a Data Analytics Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph in Linthicum, Maryland.

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, you will help develop capabilities to shift the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.

As a member of the Data Management practice, you will support a Scrum team to develop and deploy new functionality for an enterprise-level cybersecurity tool. The engineer will be heavily involved in the creation, maintenance, and execution of Pig and/or PySpark analytics while supporting the delivery of reliable, accurate data to end users and successful day-to-day operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and run Pig and/or PySpark analytics.
  • Review data-ingest tickets and merge requests with other developers on the team.
  • Support the delivery of reliable, accurate data to end users and investigate data arriving into the system.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Write or review software and system documentation.
  • Design or implement complex database or data-repository interfaces and queries.
  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure the outcomes and consequences of design.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Strong background in analytics development.
  • Desire to learn Pig and/or PySpark.
  • Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
    • Four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
