Data Analytics Solution Architect (1 year contract)

Job Summary

Design and lead enterprise-scale data analytics, infrastructure, and cloud solutions. Bridge business, data, application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance architectures aligned with enterprise and government standards.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data analytics architectures including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, data pipelines, and analytics/reporting platforms to meet business needs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solution architectures.
• Lead data integration efforts including ETL/ELT processes, data modelling, governance, metadata management, data quality assurance, and data lineage tracking.
• Architect solutions across public, private, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environments covering compute, storage, networking, security, and platform services.
• Provide enterprise architecture leadership specifically for Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and MINDEF Commercial Cloud (MCC) environments.
• Establish and enforce architectural standards for data platforms, cloud services, infrastructure, security, and technology roadmaps.
• Guide adoption and implementation of cloud-native services, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Drive platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization across data and infrastructure layers.
• Ensure compliance with government security, privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements, including secure data access, encryption, key/secrets management, and auditability.
• Lead architectural reviews, technical assurance, and governance activities while mentoring engineers and communicating solutions to senior stakeholders.

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise data analytics and cloud solutions.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, data engineering, or related roles.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms, particularly in GCC and MCC environments.
• Knowledge of data security architecture, API integration, event-driven/streaming architectures, and platform observability.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native data services, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with machine learning, advanced analytics pipelines, and MLOps is an advantage.
• Expertise in data warehousing, data lakes/lakehouses, dimensional modelling, Data Vault, and domain-oriented modelling.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture including compute, storage, networking, and security.
