Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Data and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Algeria. This role focuses on two main areas: managing and transforming data from multiple sources into structured formats for analysis, and designing, supporting, and maintaining cloud computing environments. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies, data infrastructure, and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management:
Organize, collect, process, and store data from multiple sources
Transform raw, unstructured data into usable formats for analysis
Perform data mapping and quality control across one or more data sources
Assemble large, complex datasets meeting business requirements
Support data loading, migration, and retrieval tasks
Advise on data governance, policies, roles, and dataflow
Assess company data and infrastructure environments and propose improvements
Work with stakeholders including data, design, product, and executive teams to resolve data-related technical issues
Infrastructure & Cloud Support:
Design, plan, manage, maintain, and support cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure digital applications run efficiently on cloud infrastructure
Deploy applications using container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Maintain existing databases (SQL, NoSQL, Postgres) and related infrastructure
Debug technical issues in complex stacks involving virtualization, containers, and microservices
Use API knowledge to design RESTful services and integrate them with existing data providers
Operate, develop, test, and implement infrastructure systems and hardware with automation in mind
Install and configure IoT Agora solutions, including network setup and SDK implementation
Support on-premises applications, including licensing, installation, and configuration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on all activities
Participate in out-of-office on-call rotations as required
Gain experience with OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Rackspace, Docker, and Microsoft Azure
Work with OSDU community code and Schlumberger Enterprise Data Management (EDM) workflows

Qualifications & Experience
Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization, containers, and data management
Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux/UNIX environments is a plus
Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Motivation to learn and grow in data and infrastructure engineering
