Data and System Specialist

PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to support the Strategy & Governance office (SGO) of Customer Care tower in strengthening reporting and decision-making aspects by acting as a pivotal member responsible for data analysis and workflow automations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather data from diverse internal and external sources, ensuring completeness and consistency.
• Cleanse and transform datasets to prepare them for analysis and reporting.
• Create, update, and maintain routine dashboards and standard reports using BI platforms (e.g., Nova Analytics, Qlik sense).
• Assist Project Managers in building data models, writing SQL queries automating workflows, and optimizing performance.
• Support delivery and transversal teams by providing ad-hoc analyses, data extracts, and visualizations on request.
• Monitor data quality metrics, flag anomalies, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.

IDEAL PROFILE

• Graduate in Statistics, IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related fields, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, with working knowledge of SQL, Power Query, VBA and BI tools.
• Experience in workflow automation using Microsoft tools; basic coding skills are an advantage.
• Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret data, ensure data accuracy and translate business requirements into actionable insights.
• Good communication skills, adaptability and a collaborative approach.

Important Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must be currently based in Mumbai.
• Relevant experience in the shipping, logistics or freight forwarding industry is mandatory.
• Candidates without relevant industry experience will not be considered.
