Data Annotator / Annotation Operations Specialist
Project description
We are looking for a detail-oriented annotation specialist who enjoys working on large-scale, repetitive annotation tasks while maintaining exceptional quality and consistency. This role requires someone who can quickly understand annotation guidelines, apply sound judgment to ambiguous cases, and help manage annotation configuration changes through GitHub. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing hands-on annotation work with ownership of annotation releases and version control.
Responsibilities
- ● Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency while working on repetitive annotation tasks over extended periods. ● Quickly understand new annotation guidelines and the reasoning behind them, enabling appropriate judgment when edge cases require flexibility. ● Identify ambiguous scenarios and recommend improvements to annotation guidelines. ● Review annotation quality and provide feedback to improve consistency across the team. ● Review, resolve conflicts and approve GitHub annotation pull requests and maintain clean version history ● Support annotation release management by ensuring changes are properly reviewed, tested, and documented. ● Monitor and troubleshoot GitHub Actions workflows related to annotation releases and configuration validation.
SKILLS
Must have
- ● Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality during highly repetitive work. ● Experience with image, video, or sensor data annotation. ● Ability to learn complex annotation guidelines quickly and understand the rationale behind them. ● Good judgment in handling edge cases while maintaining annotation consistency. ● Experience using GitHub for version control. ● Comfortable creating branches, submitting pull requests, resolving merge conflicts, and reviewing code or configuration changes. ● Strong written communication and documentation skills. ● Polish and English language knowledge
Nice to have
● Experience writing or improving annotation guidelines. ● Familiarity with SQL, Python, or data analysis tools is a plus.
