<p><b><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Role: Data Architect</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Location: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Reporting to: Head of Data Office</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Team name: Data Office</span></b></p><h3><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;"><b>About the Team and the Role</b></span></h3><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">The Data Office team at Ather is responsible for evolving an analytics, ML, and AI ready data lake to support key initiatives and explosive growth, designing and enforcing best practices for data governance, quality, and metadata management, and optimally processing data from multiple enterprise and telemetry sources.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">This role is for a visionary engineer designing the blueprint for Ather's entire data ecosystem. The Data Architect will design complex data processing pipelines, stay up to date on new technologies, and work closely with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, product managers, and business leaders to accelerate progress and empower intelligent, data-driven decisions that shape the future of electric mobility.</span></p><h3><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;"><b>Responsibilities</b></span></h3><ul><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Evolve an analytics, ML, and AI ready data lake to support key initiatives and explosive growth.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Design and enforce best practices for data governance, data quality, and metadata management.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Design complex data processing pipelines to optimally process data from multiple data sources.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Stay up to date on new technologies and strategically keep Ather’s data stack up to date.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Understand business needs and work closely with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, product managers, and business leaders to accelerate progress through data.</span></p></li></ul><h3><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Experience and Qualifications</span></h3><ul><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">8-12 years of proven experience in data engineering, data modeling, and data architecture roles.</span></p></li></ul><h3><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;"><b>Must Have Competencies</b></span></h3><ul><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Extensive experience designing and implementing large-scale data platforms, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Deep practical expertise with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform and Apache Spark, including designing and debugging complex jobs.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Advanced SQL skills paired with a strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Proficiency in Pyspark for executing complex data engineering tasks.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Significant experience building and managing data solutions on major cloud platforms, preferably GCP.</span></p></li></ul><h3><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;"><b>Good to Have Competencies</b></span></h3><ul><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Proven experience with high-performance columnar databases like ClickHouse.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Expertise with leveraging and integrating data from various enterprise tools such as SAP, Salesforce, and Jira.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">Familiarity with processing and architectural design for telemetry data.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">A reasonable grasp of high school level physics to align with engineering systems.</span></p></li></ul><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;"><b>Want to know more?</b></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:14px;">At Ather, we’ve built India’s first intelligent scooter, from scratch.
