Owns a domain's data foundation at C&F: defines and governs domain data models, ensures data quality, consistency and governance, and partners with business stakeholders and engineering squads. Core stack is SQL on modern data platforms, ideally a Databricks/lakehouse architecture. Hybrid role based in Warsaw, Poland, with mostly remote work.

You will be responsible for:
- Defining and maintaining domain data models, ensuring business concepts are translated into scalable and reusable technical solutions.
- Providing oversight and guidance to engineering teams to ensure solutions align with standards and business requirements.
- Reviewing and governing changes to data assets, ensuring they remain trusted, well-structured, and fit for data foundations.
- Owning the domain data foundation, including data definitions, data quality, and consistency across data products.
- Partnering with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Analytical Product Managers, and delivery squads to align priorities and drive data initiatives.
- Monitoring data operations, performance, and service delivery while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency,
- Driving adoption of data governance, metadata, lineage, and quality practices within the domain.
What you will need:
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills,
- Strong experience in data modelling, including conceptual and logical modelling,
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data platforms, preferably Databricks,
- Ability to translate business requirements and definitions into scalable data models and technical specifications,
- Good understanding of lakehouse, data integration, and analytics data architectures,
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including business users, Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Technical Leads.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and cloud-based data platforms,
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, and lineage management practices,
- Familiarity with Agile delivery and DevOps practices,
- Understanding of analytics, reporting, and data product development.
