Shape a critical national digital capability from its inception, establishing the core data architecture, canonical models, and integration foundations across a multi-year roadmap.

Define and govern the overall enterprise data architecture and canonical data models for a major multi-agency digital platform.
Design robust data structures across Microsoft technologies, including Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Azure data services.
Lead data harmonisation and mapping initiatives across government agencies and external industry stakeholders to streamline regulatory reporting.
Establish comprehensive frameworks for data ownership, stewardship, quality, lineage, and retention.
Collaborate closely with Integration Architects, Business Architects, and BAs to align payload structures and data exchange with regulatory obligations.
Guide data migration specialists and development teams while producing high-quality architectural documentation and governance artefacts.

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

Technical Toolkit: Strong hands-on proficiency with Microsoft data platforms (Dataverse, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse, Fabric, or equivalent) and canonical data modelling techniques.
Experience: Proven track record in enterprise data architecture and complex data modelling, ideally within government, regulatory, logistics, transport, or border management environments.
Core Capabilities: Exceptional ability to translate complex policy, business, and regulatory requirements into scalable data structures, complemented by strong multi-stakeholder engagement skills.

Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current NV1 security clearance.
