Data Architect

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level data architecture solutions, preferably within the Telecom domain. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in large-scale data migration, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and data modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture solutions for telecom business requirements.
• Lead end-to-end data migration initiatives, including data assessment, mapping, transformation, validation, and migration to cloud platforms.
• Define data migration strategies from legacy systems and on-premises databases to GCP.
• Leverage GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• Design and implement data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration frameworks.
• Work with large volumes of telecom data across BSS, OSS, CRM, Billing, Mediation, Network, and Customer Management systems.
• Define data modelling strategies, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, integrity, and compliance across enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and solution architects to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams.

Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in Data Architecture.
• Strong experience working in the Telecom domain.
• Hands-on expertise in Data Migration, preferably large-scale enterprise data migration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Expertise in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and other relevant GCP data services.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration, and data pipeline architecture.
• Experience in SQL, data modelling, and relational/non-relational databases.
• Experience in migrating data from legacy/on-premises platforms to cloud environments.

Good to Have

• Experience with Telecom BSS/OSS transformation and modernization projects.
• Knowledge of telecom data domains such as Customer, Product, Billing, Usage, Charging, and Network.
• Experience with tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, dbt, or similar ETL platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and Master Data Management (MDM).
• GCP Professional Data Engineer certification.

Preferred Candidate Profile

A hands-on Data Architect who has successfully delivered telecom data migration and cloud transformation projects, with strong expertise in GCP and the ability to drive end-to-end data architecture and migration solutions.
