We are currently looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a major Data Foundations program, focused on Data Architecture and Data Catalogue.
About the Role
As a Data Architect, you will work across multiple programs and business domains to help shape how data is structured, connected and understood at an enterprise level.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, solution architects and delivery teams to establish a consistent enterprise data foundation, define data architecture standards and provide guidance on how data should be used across the organisation.
This is a hands-on architecture role with a strong focus on enterprise data modelling, data standards, data landscape mapping and architecture governance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop enterprise-level conceptual and logical data models across priority business domains.
Work with business stakeholders to identify core business entities, relationships, attributes and data lifecycles.
Build a clear understanding of existing data assets, their relationships, gaps and inconsistencies.
Define and promote consistent data architecture patterns, principles and modelling standards.
Provide data architecture guidance to solution design and downstream implementation teams.
Ensure architectural decisions are clearly documented, traceable and aligned to long-term business outcomes.
Support the development and adoption of Enterprise Data Standards.
Map relationships between the Enterprise Data Model and existing models, including Canonical, Dimensional, Salesforce PSS and other system-specific models.
Provide advice on the broader enterprise data landscape and how data assets connect across systems.
Mentor team members and contribute to the ongoing capability uplift of the Data Architecture practice.
Key Deliverables
You will contribute to the development of:
Enterprise Data Model definitions for priority domains.
Conceptual models covering key entity types and roles.
Documentation of attributes, relationships, lifecycles, behaviours and master source systems.
Logical data models demonstrating practical implementation.
Documentation of alignment between enterprise and existing data models.
Conceptual, logical and physical data modelling standards.
Enterprise Data Standards and associated adoption practices.
Enterprise data landscape mapping and documentation.
Data Architecture capability and mentoring initiatives.
About You
You are an experienced Data Architect who can operate confidently at an enterprise level while understanding how architecture translates into practical delivery.
You will ideally bring:
Proven experience in Data Architecture and enterprise data modelling.
Strong experience developing conceptual and logical data models.
Experience defining data entities, relationships, attributes, lifecycles and master data.
Strong understanding of data architecture principles, standards and patterns.
Experience working across complex enterprise data environments.
Experience aligning multiple data models across business and technology domains.
Understanding of cloud data platforms and modern data architecture.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience mentoring other architects or building data architecture capability.
The ability to simplify complex data concepts and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
