Join us as Data Catalog Manager (m/f/d) inside the Data Strategy and Management team and help establish a trusted and transparent data ecosystem across TÜV SÜD. You will be responsible for driving the adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Data Catalog. Working closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Business Stakeholders, and technical teams, you will ensure that data assets are understandable, discoverable, and governed throughout their lifecycle.
Tasks
- Drive the adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Data Catalog across TÜV SÜD
- Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders to establish and maintain trusted metadata, business definitions, ownership information, and governance processes
- Support the development and operationalization of Data Governance standards, roles, and responsibilities
- Act as a central point of contact for metadata management, Business Glossary, Data Catalog, and Data Governance topics • Monitor catalog usage, metadata quality, and governance maturity while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and communication activities to support Data Catalog adoption and the operationalization of Data Governance practices
Qualifications
- At least three years of professional experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Information Management, Business Analysis, Product Management, or a comparable role.
- Practical experience with Data Catalog solutions, Metadata Management, Business Glossaries, Data Stewardship, Data Quality Management, or Master Data Management is advantageous
- Strong ability to understand business processes and translate business requirements into sustainable data management practices
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams
- Strong facilitation and organizational skills with the ability to drive discussions, align stakeholders, and increase adoption of new processes and governance structures
- Fluent in English
