Data Center Asset Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring Asset Engineers across multiple levels (Junior and Senior) to manage and improve asset lifecycle management for mission-critical Internet Data Centre (IDC) operations.

The appointment level (Junior Asset Engineer or Senior Asset Engineer) will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience and technical competency.

Responsibilities

. Manage the complete lifecycle of IT and data centre assets.

. Develop and maintain asset management policies, procedures and documentation.

. Ensure accurate asset registration, tracking and inventory records.

. Manage warehouse operations and asset logistics.

. Execute and monitor work orders according to SLA requirements.

. Perform asset analysis, reporting and inventory reconciliation.

. Coordinate asset deployment, relocation and decommissioning activities.

. Ensure compliance with company security policies and audit requirements.

. Drive continuous improvement of asset management processes.

. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support operational requirements.

Additional Responsibilities (Senior Level)

Candidates appointed as Senior Asset Engineers will additionally:

. Lead asset lifecycle management projects.

. Review and optimise asset management workflows and warehouse operations.

. Lead inventory planning and audit activities.

. Analyse operational risks and implement process improvements.

. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

. Coordinate cross-functional projects and vendor management.

Requirements

. Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or related disciplines.

. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience for Junior Asset Engineer.

. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Senior Asset Engineer.

. Experience with enterprise asset management systems, IT asset lifecycle management or data centre operations.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

. Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations and audit processes will be an advantage.

. Good communication and teamwork skills.
