Data Center BIM Technician Engineer
We are currently looking for a DCBIM Technician Engineer to join Eaton’s Data Centre Segment and support the development of high‑quality digital design solutions.
What you’ll do
- BIM Model Development & Coordination:
- Create and maintain accurate BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks and ACC.
- Support the integration of Eaton products into BIM object libraries for data centre projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure models reflect current specifications and project requirements.
- Assist in clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution across disciplines.
- Design Support & Documentation:
- Generate 2D drawings and 3D visualizations from BIM models to support project documentation and client presentations.
- Ensure all deliverables meet Eaton’s BIM standards and project‑specific requirements.
- Maintain version control and documentation of BIM files throughout the project lifecycle.
- Process Optimization & Digital Tools:
- Support the implementation of BIM workflows that improve design efficiency and collaboration.
- Assist in testing and deploying new BIM tools and digital solutions tailored to data centre applications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM processes by identifying opportunities for automation and standardisation.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Review models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with BEPs.
- Support quality control efforts by flagging inconsistencies and coordinating corrections with relevant teams.
- Ensure adherence to Eaton’s governance framework and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Electrical/Mechanical engineering Degree, or related technical field.
- 2–3years of experience in BIM modelling, preferably in data centre or industrial projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and NavisWorks is essential; familiarity with ACC is a big advantage.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, workflows, and object library development.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communicator and team player with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Fluent in English.
