Summary
The Data Center Design Engineer designs and develops integrated critical infrastructure solutions, including power, cooling, and control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing integrated data centre and critical infrastructure solutions that align with client requirements and business objectives. Responsibilities
- Design and develop data centre and critical infrastructure solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications, proposals, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Engage with clients to identify requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Support business development and drive solution-based sales opportunities.
- Oversee solution implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and efficiency requirements.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and support ongoing client satisfaction.
Requirements
- BSc/BEng in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- PrEng / PrTech - beneficial
- Relevant experience within data centre, critical infrastructure, or engineering environments.
- Experience in data centre design, power systems, cooling, BMS, SCADA, or PLC systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, ICT, and backup power infrastructure.
- Exposure to renewable energy and energy storage systems.
- Strong client-facing, commercial, and project management skills.
