Data Center Engineer
Qualifications
- Advance knowledge of HVAC systems, such as chillers, centrifugal refrigeration systems, fans, cooling towers, AHUs, and pumps (will be an advantage).
- Understand basic power calculations on single- and 3-phase circuits.
- Experience working with maintenance management systems.
- Experience in developing SOPs, work plans, MOPs, or other operational documentation.
- Good command of English, positive attitude, professional, responsible, hardworking, and eager to learn.
- A good team player with an excellent attitude and the ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
SOW / Responsibilities
- Manage routine inspections and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting data center operations.
- Comfortable with 24/7 critical environment infrastructure and data center equipment requirements and reporting directly to the Facility Manager.
- Perform and supervise the maintenance of the data center core facility in providing the required services for customers in terms of mechanical, electrical, fire system, automation, and network.
- Own and participate in all site-level mechanical system issues, such as HVAC systems, chillers, centrifugal refrigeration systems, cooling towers, In Row Cooling, AHUs, pumps, water treatment, etc., during the project execution phase.
- Develop reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis to optimize the performance and efficiency of data center operations.
- Analyze and evaluate data center sub-system performances, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for upgrades.
- Analyze and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, from maintaining redundant high-capacity cooling systems to operating and supporting data center backup electrical systems (generators, UPS, etc.).
- Must be able to provide detailed information on the design and operation of the data center facilities to consultants, subcontractors, the field installation team, and the customer if required.
- Embody a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of the BDDC environment.
