Data Centre Engineer
We are recruiting an experienced Data Centre Engineer to join a major data centre development in the Netherlands. This is a long‑term opportunity to work with a globally recognised engineering team delivering hyperscale infrastructure for one of Europe’s most advanced digital facilities.
You will play a vital role in the technical operation and support of critical infrastructure — including power, cooling, BMS, fire systems, and environmental controls — across a live or near‑completion data centre environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot MEP systems including UPS, LV/MV power, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, generators, and fire suppression
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency response activities
- Support handover, commissioning, and operational readiness of mechanical/electrical systems
- Interface with commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client engineers
- Maintain logs, reports, and incident records in line with site protocols
- Follow strict HSE procedures and escalation protocols for fault handling and service continuity
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years’ experience as a Data Centre Engineer, MEP Technician, or Facilities Engineer
- Strong technical understanding of critical systems: power, cooling, controls
- Experience in data centres, hospitals, clean rooms, or critical infrastructure preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and commissioning documents
- Excellent fault‑finding and communication skills
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus)
- EU work rights or valid work permit for The Netherlands required
