Contract duration: 1 year, renewable
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Work model: Hybrid (60% remote; 40% in person)
Languages: Portuguese + English B1/B2 (Intermediate)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support large-scale Data Center networking environments.
- Operate and optimize Spine-Leaf architectures and EVPN/VXLAN fabrics.
- Support Data Center transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Implement segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies.
- Manage Next-Generation Firewall environments and security architectures.
- Develop and maintain network automation solutions using Python and Ansible.
- Implement CI/CD practices for network infrastructure changes.
- Support network observability, monitoring, and telemetry platforms.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud teams.
- Participate in architecture reviews, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
✅ Must-have Requirements
- Proven experience in Network Engineering for Data Center Environments
- Strong experience with:
- Data Center Networking: VXLAN / EVPN, Spine-Leaf Architectures ,BGP, OSPF, vPC / MLAG, STP, Multicast, QoS.
- Data Center Platforms: Cisco Nexus (NX-OS / ACI), Arista EOS, Juniper QFX, Nokia
- Security: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Security, Check Point, NAT, SSL VPN, IPSec, Zero Trust, Micro-segmentation, DMZ.
- Automation: Python, Ansible, Git, CI/CD
- Virtualization & Platforms: VMware, Kubernetes
