Detailed Job Description
As a Data Center Facility / Critical Facility Engineer at Elitez Group in Jakarta, you will take full ownership of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting mission-critical data center infrastructure to guarantee uninterrupted uptime and high availability. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass monitoring and maintaining cooling systems, mechanical equipment, electrical distribution, fire protection systems, and ECMS/BMS (Environmental Control Monitoring System / Building Management System). You will review engineering drawings, lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents, manage incident response workflows, and execute Method of Procedures (MOP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP). Working in a fast-paced critical facility environment requiring strong English communication skills, you will drive operational excellence and infrastructure reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end facility operations, preventive maintenance, and corrective troubleshooting for mission-critical data center infrastructure.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize cooling systems, mechanical systems, electrical distribution, and backup power generators.
- Administer and monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Environmental Control Monitoring Systems (ECMS).
- Ensure strict adherence to fire protection safety protocols, suppression systems, and life-safety compliance.
- Lead root-cause analysis (RCA), incident management, and rapid resolution of critical facility anomalies and failures.
- Develop, review, and execute Method of Procedures (MOP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP).
- Read, interpret, and update complex engineering drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and architectural layouts.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional facility technicians, engineering vendors, and client IT stakeholders in Jakarta.
- Ensure uncompromising adherence to data center uptime SLAs, environmental health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive technical logs, asset registers, maintenance records, and compliance audit reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facility Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional work experience in Data Center, Critical Facility, or advanced Facility Management environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of data center cooling systems, mechanical systems, and electrical power distribution.
- Proven proficiency with ECMS / BMS platforms and critical monitoring infrastructure.
- Ability to read, interpret, and navigate complex engineering drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Proven experience in root-cause analysis (RCA), incident management, and executing MOP / SOP / EOP protocols.
- Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination capabilities.
- Good English communication skills (verbal and written) is a MUST.
- Professional availability for full-time employment in Jakarta, Indonesia.

- Professional certifications such as Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Manager (CDFOM), or LEED accreditation.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, CRAC/CRAH units, and chilled water plants.
- Prior working experience in tier-3 or tier-4 enterprise colocation data centers or telecommunications facilities.
- Proficiency in computer-aided facility management (CAFM) and enterprise asset management software.
- Strong background in ITIL service management frameworks and critical facility risk assessment.
