Responsibilities- Design and engineer data center infrastructure, including facility layout, cabinets, overhead ladder racking, raceways, fiber ducts, hot and cold aisles, mechanical and electrical systems, servers, storage, and networking equipment
- Develop detailed AutoCAD designs and technical drawings for data center layouts and infrastructure components
- Plan capacity and allocate resources to ensure scalability, efficiency, and resilience of the data center environment
- Monitor and optimize the performance of infrastructure components to meet service level agreements and operational objectives
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, collaborating with IT, engineering, and operations teams
- Implement and maintain security and compliance measures to safeguard critical assets
- Support infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal operational impact
- Document infrastructure processes and procedures to ensure operational continuity and knowledge sharing
- Stay informed of emerging data center technologies and best practices, recommending improvements as appropriate
- Proven experience as a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer, Colocation Engineer, or Telecommunications Facilities Engineer in large-scale data center environments
- Strong expertise in AutoCAD or similar design software for creating technical drawings and layouts
- Comprehensive understanding of data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V
- Solid knowledge of physical facilities, including racking, power distribution, and cooling systems, as well as IT security principles
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in complex technical environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working across multiple teams
- Exposure to high‑profile data center projects supporting global operations
