Data Center Logistics Operations Manager, Google Cloud
The Google Cloud Logistics Americas Operations team focuses on operating logistics and supply chains to support internal and external customers, delivering on-time, in-full performance while leveraging efficient practices and waste-reduction methodologies.
In this role, you will lead how Google Cloud optimizes daily logistics processes by incorporating current industry standards and best practices. You will drive continuous process improvement recommendations, manage operational change implementations, standardize documentation, and collaborate across partner teams. Additionally, you will initiate and oversee operational improvement efforts for Google Cloud Logistics across North America and South America, analyze operational impacts to inform enhancements, work with key stakeholders, motivate innovation across operational teams, and prepare leadership presentations highlighting operational performance. - Manage daily logistics operations, material flow, and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse and data-center vendors, including overseeing budgets, invoices, and capital improvements.
- Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and vendor scorecards to ensure business continuity and build business cases for process and logistics improvements.
- Design and execute comprehensive forward and reverse logistics strategies aligned with the organization's long-term business goals.
- Drive technology-driven automation, reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), optimize capacity, and eliminate obstacles in material flow to lower operational costs.
- Partner with internal Google teams, carriers, and external vendors to align priorities, reduce delivery cycle times, and scale operations efficiently.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a customer or client-facing role supporting in logistics or supply chain.
- 5 years of experience working in domestic and international environments.
- 5 years of experience managing operations and leading cross-regional teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, a related field, or CSCMP certification.
- 3 years of experience analyzing data and generating business insights in order to guide business decisions.
- Experience with data center logistics.
- Ability to work separately and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Ability to apply structured thinking and logic to work and provide solutions to issues.
