Data Center Mechanical System Architect
You will design, optimize, and scale cooling technology infrastructure to ensure system reliability, sustainability, and efficiency for high-density AI and cloud compute workloads, driving cost targets and speed-to-market objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design system topology and detailed schematics from heat rejection plant to rack-level cooling for air-cooling and liquid cooling applications
- Develop cooling solutions aligned with control philosophy to ensure continuous operation of diverse cooling technologies
- Plan capacity with thermal buffer or fast response to accommodate dynamic power demands from AI workloads
- Select and rightsize cooling technology equipment to meet peak demand while ensuring modularity and scalability
- Configure and sequence operations to optimize Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE)
- Perform computational fluid dynamics and hydraulic calculations to comply with environmental standards and heat transfer fluid service level agreements
- Standardize build-to-suit design templates to shorten design cycles and achieve cost targets
- Future-proof cooling technology designs to adapt to evolving workload demands
- Manage concurrent and fast-track projects, applying innovative design solutions and driving outcomes with internal and external partners
