Data Center Operations Support Technician (Part-Time / Contract)

About the role

ByteBridge Technology is looking for Data Center Technicians (DCT) to support data center operations in Johor Bahru. This role is primarily responsible for escorting vendors, contractors and visitors within the data center, ensuring compliance with site security and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinating vendors, contractors and visitors within designated data center areas

• Ensure all personnel comply with data center security, safety and access control procedures

• Monitor contractor activities and ensure work is carried out within approved areas

• Assist with visitor registration, access verification and entry/exit procedures

• Report any safety concerns, security incidents or unauthorized activities to the site supervisor

• Maintain basic logs and daily activity records

• Support basic data center operational tasks when required

• Coordinate with onsite engineers, security personnel and operations teams

About you

• Minimum SPM, Diploma or equivalent qualification

• Prior experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure, security or technical support is an advantage

• Basic understanding of data center environments and safety procedures is preferred

• Responsible, punctual and able to follow site instructions

• Comfortable working in a controlled and secure data center environment

• Willing to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends or public holidays when required

• Able to start immediately or on short notice
