Position Overview
The Data Center Security Executive supports physical security operations across data center environments. This role is responsible for monitoring security infrastructure, responding to incidents, ensuring compliance with access control policies, and supporting safe and secure operations within leased or managed data center spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine security patrols across Data Halls, storage rooms, and office areas.
Monitor and validate the functionality of security systems, including badge readers, doors, cameras, and sensors.
Identify, report, and escalate security incidents, safety risks, or hardware anomalies.
Support vendor activities, including the installation, testing, and maintenance of security devices such as CCTV and access control systems.
Escort vendors and contractors working within secured areas and ensure compliance with site security procedures.
Assist with critical security activities, including media destruction events, security audits, and other security-related operations.
Maintain accurate daily reports, security records, and incident logs.
Participate in operational briefings, security meetings, and team coordination activities.
Support access control onboarding activities and maintain security presence within restricted areas.
Ensure full compliance with PPE requirements, site security procedures, and confidentiality policies.
Escalate security incidents and operational concerns to the appropriate security or site management team when required.
Required Qualifications
Understanding of data center environments or colocation facilities.
Familiarity with physical security systems, including access control and CCTV.
Proficiency in basic office tools such as Excel, reporting tools, and collaboration platforms such as Lark.
Strong written documentation and reporting skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict operational procedures.
Good communication and coordination skills when working with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to security incidents and operational requirements.
