Salary: $8,500 – $12,000 per month
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on data center technical professional to support SPX's international GPU infrastructure deployment. The role will be responsible for evaluating whether potential data center facilities can meet SPX's technical requirements, identifying required upgrades, and driving selected sites from technical due diligence through fit-out, commissioning and Ready-for-Service (RFS). You will work closely with data center operators, engineering teams, contractors, vendors and SPX's internal infrastructure team to ensure capacity is technically suitable and delivered on time.
Key responsibilities
Lead technical due diligence and site assessments for potential data center facilities
Evaluate power, cooling, rack density, network connectivity, redundancy, physical constraints and expansion capability
Review SLDs, MEP drawings, technical specifications, commissioning reports and capacity calculations
Identify technical limitations, key risks, required upgrades and realistic delivery timelines
Assess data center readiness for high-density GPU and AI infrastructure deployment
Evaluate rack power density, electrical distribution, chilled-water systems, liquid cooling, CDU deployment and heat-rejection requirements
Translate GPU deployment requirements into data center power, cooling, rack and network requirements
Take technical ownership of selected projects from site selection through final delivery
Coordinate MEP upgrades, rack deployment, power distribution, cooling infrastructure, cabling and equipment installation
Act as the primary technical interface with data center operators, consultants, contractors and equipment vendors
About you
7+ years of relevant experience in data center engineering, MEP engineering, commissioning, operations, technical due diligence or project delivery
Strong understanding of mission-critical data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure
Solid knowledge of power systems including utility supply, MV/LV distribution, transformers, UPS, generators and rack-level power distribution
Strong understanding of cooling systems, including chilled water, CRAH/CRAC and heat-rejection systems
Experience with high-density, liquid-cooled, GPU, HPC or AI infrastructure environments is highly preferred
Able to independently review SLDs, MEP drawings, technical specifications and commissioning documentation
Strong understanding of rack density, cooling capacity, redundancy, PUE and data center capacity planning
Proven project-management experience working with operators, consultants, contractors and vendors
Comfortable conducting site inspections and making practical technical assessments
