Data Center Technician - Italy - Varese - On-site

A global IT solutions leader is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to provide critical support to its data centers. This role involves hardware installation, troubleshooting, and network operations management. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years experience in data center operations, a background in both Windows and Linux systems, and proficiency with Cisco and Juniper devices. Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other hardware for optimal performance. Monitor data center operations, quickly diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking devices, including Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls. Manage and troubleshoot both Linux and Windows-based systems. Document all installations, repairs, maintenance tasks, and system performance. Implement and maintain security protocols for data center infrastructure. Collaborate with remote IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders. 3+ years of experience in data center operations, with a strong focus on independent or freelance projects. Valid certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or CompTIA Linux+ are highly desirable. Ability to travel to data center locations on short notice; work across shift patterns.
