Data Center Technician - SG - Singapore - On-site

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for full-time work in Singapore, SG. This is an on-site position supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

Engagement Type

• Hourly, contract-based, dispatch assignments

• Work availability depends on client demand and project requirements

• No guaranteed minimum hours or fixed full-time schedule

• Assignments may range from a few hours to a full day or longer

• On-site work at data center facilities in Singapore

• Technicians must be comfortable working independently and coordinating with remote teams

• Night, weekend, and short-notice assignments may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations as assigned

• Execute structured cabling tasks involving copper and fiber optics

• Perform server racking, stacking, and equipment labeling

• Handle cross-connects and patch panel work

• Troubleshoot physical connectivity and hardware issues

• Document completed work with photos, detailed notes, and ticket updates

• Coordinate with remote NOC teams, project managers, and client representatives

• Follow site procedures, safety requirements, and work authorization processes

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience

• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)

• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro)

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments

• Own transportation and ability to work on-site

• Professional communication skills in English

• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred

• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred

• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems - preferred

• Familiarity with major colocation providers - preferred

• Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment
