Data Centre Capacity Engineer

Responsible for forecasting, planning, and managing data centre capacity across space, power, cooling, and rack infrastructure to support business growth, operational resilience, and future infrastructure deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop capacity forecasts and plans for space, power, cooling, and rack utilisation.
  • Assess electrical and cooling infrastructure utilisation and available capacity.
  • Identify capacity constraints, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support rack placement, space planning, and infrastructure readiness for new deployments.
  • Maintain capacity data within DCIM and asset management systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Network, Server, and vendor teams.
  • Provide capacity reporting, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in data centre infrastructure, facilities engineering, or capacity planning.
  • Strong understanding of data centre power, cooling, resilience, and redundancy concepts.
  • Experience with DCIM platforms and asset management tools (e.g., Nlyte, Remedy, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
