Location: London 3 days per week
Duration: 6 month Fixed Term Contract (potential to extend)
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 plus benefits (dependent on experience)

We are seeking an exceptional Data Centre Project Manager to join our team and support a high‑profile law firm through a significant multi‑year transition.

Role:
As one of our Senior Consultants, you’ll be joining our team delivering projects in IT that support a broad merger integration program at a global law firm. Your role is to own a project to decommission an existing Data Centre, working closely with different stakeholders across the business at a senior level.

Your experience will include running a discovery phase for the Data Centre closure, and building an understanding of what hardware is in place and in use.

What you’ll do:
  • Take ownership of our customer’s Data Centre decommissioning project
  • Define and agree the approach, plan and resources required to deliver the scope of the work
  • Ensure that the designs of the Data Centre and broader IT infrastructure solutions comply / align with the underlying infrastructure strategy and design principles
  • Work closely with internal management, business stakeholders and external stakeholders to develop optimum solutions and service models
  • Deliver effective and comprehensive RAID management
  • Manage all relevant vendors and suppliers as needed

The successful Data Centre Project Manager will be able to demonstrate:

Essential:
  • Experience of managing a Data Centre decommissioning project
  • Strong Azure knowledge and experience
  • Focussed on Delivery: An ability to demonstrate a high degree of competency in project / programme support, with similar experience in a client-facing position, as well as experience working in fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong Multitasker: Demonstrates the ability to manage and prioritise multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, pivoting quickly with an agile approach
  • Confident Communicator: Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating effectively with a diverse range of internal and external teams.
  • Proactive Ownership: Possesses a curious mindset, takes full ownership of tasks, and actively seeks efficient, innovative ways to optimise project processes
  • Team Player: A dedicated team player who proactively identifies opportunities to support colleagues and contribute to the collective performance of the team.
  • Adaptable: Thrives in flexible, ambiguous environments, embracing continuous learning and experimentation to navigate complex circumstances.
  • Solution-Focused: Committed to unlocking programme success, with exceptional project management.
  • A proactive consulting mindset, capable of anticipating challenges and addressing them effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and executive presentations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Legal industry or professional services background

  • Relevant certifications in your area of expertise
