Discussion

Mechanical Commissioning Engineer - Data Centre

Denmark | Permanent | Up to €100,000

A major international engineering contractor is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a large-scale data centre project in Denmark.

This is a hands‑on commissioning role for someone who wants to be on site, close to the systems and involved in taking complex mechanical infrastructure from installation through testing, commissioning and handover.

With 5+ years of secured project work, this is a genuine long-term opportunity rather than a short-term project.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver mechanical pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities
  • Review IFC drawings, specifications and technical submittals
  • Support commissioning plans, methodologies and sequencing
  • Coordinate with package engineers, planners, vendors and site teams
  • Prepare and review checklists, scripts and test packs
  • Witness functional testing and verify system performance
  • Lead/support walkdowns, tag walks and inspections
  • Track commissioning progress, snags and close‑out
  • Support system handover, O&M documentation and client training
  • Identify issues early and escalation commissioning risks

What We're Looking For

  • Mechanical commissioning experience within complex construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, LTHW, ventilation and pressurisation systems
  • Understanding of commissioning processes, sequencing and system interfaces
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, site‑based environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple disciplines
  • A practical, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
  • Data centre experience is a major advantage, but strong mechanical commissioning experience from other mission‑critical or technically complex environments will be considered

Why Apply?

  • Up to €100,000 salary
  • Permanent position
  • Major data centre project in Denmark
  • 5+ years of secured work
  • International project environment
  • Career development and progression opportunities
  • Opportunity to work on technically advanced projects
  • Strong overall package
