Data Centre Support Engineer

We are seeking a Data Centre Operations Support Engineer to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, security, and availability of data centre facilities and IT infrastructure.

The role involves monitoring critical infrastructure, supporting IT operations, coordinating maintenance activities, managing physical security processes, and ensuring operational documentation is kept up to date.

• Working Hours: Mon-Fri
• Working Location: North-Eastern, Singapore
• Salary Package: Up to $3500 (basic) + AWS
• Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

Data Centre & Infrastructure Operations

• Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, fire suppression systems, and related facilities equipment.
• Conduct regular environmental checks covering temperature, humidity, water leakage, and other facility conditions.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve infrastructure and facility issues.
• Support preventive maintenance, equipment installation, and infrastructure-related activities.
• Maintain proper cable management, equipment organisation, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the data centre.

Requirements

• Diploma in Information Technology, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in data centre operations, IT infrastructure support, facilities operations, or IT operations.
• Basic understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, environmental monitoring, and IT systems.
• Familiarity with IT operations, incident management, security procedures, and operational processes.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills when working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in an operational environment and supporting shift duties or emergency response when required.

Advantageous Certifications

• ITIL Foundation.
• Data Centre Operations or Data Centre Management certification.
• Relevant IT infrastructure certifications.
• Security or cybersecurity awareness certifications.
